Winter VS. All-Season Tires

There are several reasons why winter tires may be a better choice than all-season tires.

One reason is that winter tires are specifically designed to grip icy and snowy surfaces, which all-season tires are not. This means that winter tires can provide better traction and stability on slippery roads.

Another reason is that winter tires are made from a different type of rubber compound than all-season tires. This special compound helps to keep the tire pliable in cold temperatures, so it can maintain good contact with the road surface.

Finally, winter tires typically have deeper tread patterns than all-season tires. This helps them to clear snow and slush from the road surface more effectively, which can improve traction and prevent hydroplaning.

For these reasons, winter tires may be a better choice than all-season tires for driving in snowy and icy conditions.
